三马棋棋盘及开局布子示意图。它的棋盘由2组长短不同的平行线各8条垂直相交而成，形成许多方格，棋盘周边为锯齿状，采用交点式棋位，全盘共有38个棋位。
2.棋子
三马棋的棋子扁日形，共有6枚，棋面符号分别为数宇1---6。对局双方各用3 枚棋子，其中甲方用1号,3号和5号棋子，乙方用2号,4号和6号棋子。
